Immerse yourself in the exotic wonder of Vietnam with a stunning escape to both Hoi An and Ho Chi Minh City!

Our Travel Team set off for an unforgettable Vietnamese adventure, starting in Hoi An. While Vietnam’s cities like Hanoi and Saigon have become famous for their dizzying energy, the former port town of Hoi An has managed to keep its traditional fishing village character largely in-tact and has become one of the most iconic stops on the country’s tourist trail.

The city’s streets brim with history – rustic buildings boast Chinese and Japanese architecture, while almost every street corner presents a new photo-op. There’s sure to be something for everyone with a selection of restaurants, bars, boutique hotels and of course, tailors all contributing to the city’s fame.

Hoi An’s standing as the culinary capital of Vietnam is also undoubted, the city will sweep away your senses with an irresistible blend of traditional cuisine and bold modern cooking techniques.

Dining

Hoi An comes with big expectations in regards to food, and even the staunchest of culinary critics would be impressed with the delectable offerings we indulged in during our stay at Almanity Hoi An.

Each morning, our group woke up to a delicious buffet breakfast with a diverse selection of Western and Asian cuisine.

We particularly enjoyed visiting the My Chi Spa – a soothing sanctuary for the mind, body and soul. We indulged in daily spa treatments comprising four 90-minute treatments and two 120-minute treatments (one treatment per adult per day). The blissful spa treatments on offer include aromatherapy, bamboo massages and traditional shiatsu massages that will leave you feeling utterly refreshed and suitably pampered.

Hotel Equatorial Ho Chi Minh City

Vietnam has a lot to offer, so we also spent two days in the bustling metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City at the fabulous five-star Hotel Equatorial.

The rooms at Hotel Equatorial are tasteful and well appointed with a comfortable 32sqm of space to unwind in. You can sink into the plush King bed (or you can get two Twin beds) like we did, turn on the air-con, switch on the satellite TV from your bedside control and take some time out between sightseeing in the ultimate comfort.

Hotel Equatorial also has an open-air swimming pool gymnasium, and even a spa which offers massages and facial treatments.

We also indulged our senses at the Orientica Seafood Restaurant & Bar for a lavish seven-course dining degustiation. It’s tucked away on the second floor of the hotel where you can enjoy the sight, sound and smell of your seafood dinner being prepared before you with fire, steam or ice. It’s fine dining with a twist, and fresh seafood straight up in Vietnamese style. The restaurant was reviewed and selected in Vietnam’s Top 100 Restaurants by Gourmet Vietnam and is definitely worth a try while you’re in Ho Chi Minh City.

Perfectly positioned just out of the hectic city centre, but close enough to experience the bustling buzz of Ho Chi Minh; Hotel Equatorial provides perfect access to all the sights and attractions including a taste of history at the famous Cu Chi Tunnels and War Museum, or a visit to the thriving commercial sector with fantastic markets and a wealth of chic bars and restaurants.
